About Sam heughan

Sam Heughan was raised in Scotland by his mother, Chrissie Heughan, after his father left the family when Sam and his older brother, Cirdan, were young. As a child, he spent much of his time outdoors in the countryside, which he has said inspired his imagination. He later studied acting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), graduating in 2003.
